Privacy policy

Last updated August 2026

This policy explains what Ideric Bank does with your information when you use Ideric Bank — the website at idericbank.com and the Ideric Bank Android app, which shows the same website.

What we collect

When you open an account: your full name, a username, your email address, your phone number and a password. The password is stored as a one-way hash; nobody at Ideric Bank can read it, and we cannot tell you what it is if you forget it — only help you set a new one.

When you verify your identity: a photograph of an official identity document and a photograph of your face. This is required before you can send money or withdraw.

When you order a card: your date of birth, your identity document number, and — for a Mastercard — a copy of the document and a photograph of you, which the card issuer requires before it will create a card in your name.

When you move money: the amount, the currency, the date, which method you used, the reference the payment provider gave us, and the account it went to or came from.

Automatically: your IP address and the time of each sign-in attempt. This is used to block password guessing and for nothing else.

What we do not collect

We never see or store your card number. When you deposit by debit or credit card, the number is typed into PayPal's own form and goes straight to PayPal. It does not pass through this server at any point.

We do not sell your information. We do not share it for advertising. There is no advertising in the app or on the site, and no third-party tracking or analytics script on any page.

Why we hold it

To run your account and show you your money. To confirm you are who you say you are before we move funds, which is both a legal expectation and the only thing standing between your balance and somebody who has guessed your password. To send you a receipt or a security notice by email. And to keep a record of every transaction, because a bank that cannot show what happened to your money is not a bank.

Who else sees it

Only the companies that carry out the part of the service you asked for, and only the part they need:

  • PayPal — deposits by card or PayPal, and PayPal withdrawals. They receive the amount and your email address.
  • Our card issuers — when you order a card, they receive your name, date of birth, email, identity document number and, for a Mastercard, the two photographs. They are the ones who create the card, so they cannot do it without this.
  • Didit — the identity check. Your document and face photographs are processed by them and the result comes back to us as verified or not verified.
  • Hostinger — hosting and email delivery. Your data sits on their servers because the site does.

We will also hand information to a court, regulator or law-enforcement body if we are legally required to, and we will tell you if we are allowed to.

How it is protected

Everything between your phone and this site travels over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed. Uploaded identity photographs are stored under random filenames in a directory that cannot execute code and cannot be listed, so nobody can guess or browse their way to somebody's document. Access to the administration panel is restricted and every action taken there is logged against the person who took it.

How long we keep it

Your account details and your transaction history are kept for as long as your account is open, and afterwards for as long as financial record-keeping rules require. Identity photographs are kept only while they are needed to complete the check or the card order they were sent for.

Your choices

You can see and correct most of your details in your account settings. You can ask for a copy of what we hold on you, and you can ask us to delete your account. Deletion is explained on the account deletion page. Some transaction records must be retained even after an account is closed, and we will say plainly which ones and why.

Children

Ideric Bank is for adults. We do not knowingly open accounts for anyone under 18, and if we find one we close it and delete the data.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects you, the date at the top changes and we will tell you by email before it takes effect.
